A Not-So-Wedding-Post Blog Post

When I first began blogging, I was determined to share more than just weddings, engagements, and portraits. I also wanted to share some of myself. I haven't done a very good job at this. I haven't talked about anything semi-personal since I shared images from my goddaughter's first birthday back in February. I'll try to rectify that now.

Over the past weekend, I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding for Scotty of Think Photographics. I know, I know... wedding stuff! I promise I'll get off the subject! Second shooting can be such fun because of the lack of stress involved. The second shooter can take interesting angles and have fun with the day without really worrying about not capturing important moments. The wedding was beautiful, Ross and Sarah are awesome people and the lighting was perfect.

Here's an image from the wedding:

Following the wedding, I had the pleasure of attending a concert put on by my friends, Dirt Poor Robins. I am amazed at the level of talent many of my friends have! Since it was October, 30th, the concert was also part costume party and the band was dressed as characters from Mary Poppins. In addition to this, they performed an awesome cover of "Spoonful of Sugar"! Here are some pictures of that night:
