...and I love it!
A little background on my new identity... My original logo was a tongue-in-cheek way of helping people learn to pronounce my married name (it's German and pronounced with a long i). I soon grew tired of it. I felt that the mark misrepresented who I am as a person and artist. It was time for a change.
My new logo represents not only me as an artist (it's gestural, expressive), but me personally in addition to my heritage. The mark of JFP's new logo is based on a luckenbooth, a Scottish brooch given to the husband by the bride as a token of love or betrothal. The symbol represents love (interlocking hearts) and loyalty (crown). It is said that this tradition was even carried out amongst royalty. Mary Queen of Scots also gave her fiancé, Lord Darnley, such a love token.
I couldn't be happier with my new logo! It will begin appearing soon, and will be fully implemented with a wonderful new web/blog site. Once my new identity has been carried out, I'll blog about it again showing all the new and amazing changes!
